Tostadas y pozole. I’m Mexican-American, of course my favorite food is going to be a Mexican dish. Tostadas are made up of a flour tortilla fried in oil, beans blended with spice, finely chopped lettuce, chicken or (my favorite) meat from cow feet (there is an elaborate preparation for this), slices of avocado, and sour cream with milk to top it off. Pozole is made with nixtamalized cacahuazintle corn, pork, oregano, onions, and dry spice.
